Sky Jibe 3.5m - Wing foil wing - Dacron®

Our Sky Jibe wing blends high-quality construction with key features. For wind strengths varying between 10-20 knots, the 3.5m surface area will suit riders from 55-65kg when wind strengths pick up and typically between 25 and 40 knots; for heavier riders, in line with your abilities and enjoyment of taking on bigger winds. Ideal for kids for learning or higher winds for the intermediate to advanced rider.

The canopy features radial cut panels that align with the torsion forces acting on the panels radiating from the rear of the fuselage strut. This helps keep increased canopy stability during overload situations experienced during high gusts, pumping and impact on landing, which can cause the canopy to implode and lose power. The added canopy stability allows the wing to handle a wider range of wind strengths so that you can enjoy a longer time on the water before changing your wing size up or down.

In light airs with light riders, the Sky Jibe is a breeze to use and highly manageable, and for heavier riders taking on high winds, the Sky Jibe is super easy to power up and down when you need to harness the wind or spill it.

The Sky Jibe is equipped with wide, dual-moulded control handles that play a crucial role in providing the ultimate fine control over the wing's flight. These handles ensure that the wing's movement is effectively transmitted to the rider, allowing them to respond to its nuances and maintain efficient flight when on the foil or when balancing when connected to the water and working the wing to achieve lift. A webbing neutral handle is located on the leading edge when riding neutral with the wing held out the back, which flies with ease and with minimal pitch and yaw. This level of control provides a sense of security and confidence to the rider.

The canopy uses super lightweight Dacron® polyester spinnaker cloth, a hydrophobic material that resists water uptake and is UV resistant. The skeletal elements of the wing, the leading edge and the fuselage strut utilise heavy-duty 175g Dacron®, a tear and abrasion-resistant fabric that contributes to keeping the canopy under tension and the positivity of the dual moulded handle connection. Trailing edge battens decrease ‘flutter’ and drag. We’ve included a dual-valve system, one located on the leading edge and the other on the fuselage, providing added security. Includes wrist leash and a lightweight spinnaker cloth backpack.
