It's no secret that Mistral's heritage since 1976 was founded upon windsurfing, and after such a long history, we know that times have changed. We still have the sport close to our heart and offer a small range of high-performing freeride boards, rigs and sails to keep connected to this iconic all-time great sport.
Mistral Windsurfing Options
Freeride Boards
Our Mistral Quikslide freeride boards excel in speed and control and are a contender as one of the ‘best of type’ in their category. Insanely sweet gybes and outstanding acceleration combine to make an easy-riding allrounder that will blow you away with its turn of speed. Choose between a range of board volumes; the volume increased by width, not length, and the rails are super thin for the highest levels of turning control. Float effortlessly and carve boldly!
Sails, Rigs and Sets
We developed our Zonda range of freeride sails and rigs in association with Simmer Sails, ensuring the quality, cut and performance levels meet the expectations of the most demanding riders. The Zonda collection, which is over three sail sizes, is offered as a complete rig and is useable for various wind strengths and water environments. In addition, we offer outstanding value sets combining Zonda rigs and Quikslide boards.
Custom Wave
We've teamed up with Italian shaper Gianni Valdambrini to offer two outstanding custom waveboards: the Mistral Custom Hookipa 93L, a top-performing all-around wave board, and the Custom Wavecomp 88L (Displayed), perfect for not-so-perfect side or cross-on shore conditions that deliver pro-rider-level performance. These are pre-order boards which stand you out from the crowds.

Windfoiling Hybrid Boards
Hybrid windfoiling boards offer the best of both worlds, made possible by including a Deep Tuttle Box, which allows you to ride with fin or foil. Our Hyperslide 120-litre board offers this choice, as does our 120-litre Quickslide board. The Hyperslide has a limited degree of rocker, and when riding with a fin, it's a fast Freeride board that offers a thrilling ride that's fast and flat.

Grass Roots Boards and Accessories
For 2024, we will soon release three easy-ride models in 160, 180 and 210-litre boards, featuring all-over soft top decking and fully retracting daggerboard rear and front grab handles. Ideal for your first-time windsurfing learning experience, great for the family and the smaller model is ideal for children's first-time ride, complemented by matching rigs in 3.5, 4.5 and 5.5m sail sizes.

Accessories
Windsurfing accessories form an important part of your full enjoyment of the sport, such as the essential use of harnesses and use of harness lines and the need for spares such as universal mast foot joints, footstraps and roof rack pads. Our Mistral windsurfing waist harness is our in-house design that's hard wearing and very comfortable with high levels of paddling and lower lumbar support.
