Seaspray 9'2 - Hardboard SUP

If you are new to SUP surfing, you require a reasonable excess of volume to keep you buoyant during the paddle out and when in the line-up, but not so much that you cannot execute rail-to-rail transition at speed. Because of this, matching your body mass to board volume is more critical for wave riding than regular paddling and paddleboards.

With 145L of volume, riders between 85-100kg will benefit from the additional volume. On the wave, you find the board lively and fast. For the intermediate rider, you can afford to narrow the gap between board volume and your body weight; therefore, riders from 100-120kg will benefit from the relatively reduced volume ratio when riding the wave and the potential for more radical power moves.

Once trimmed along the wave, it loves to be worked from the tail and will reward physical paddlers wanting to whip it into lips and lay the rail, which is made easy by the soft rails promoting a loose ride. Riders will be surprised how easily you can catch waves with the Seaspray. This board will even handle cylindrical waves slotting beautifully into the pocket, and it’s a great board in messy conditions and a step up to bigger surf, providing an excellent solution as a one-board-only SUP quiver.
