Skywave 4'7 / 55L - Wing foil hardboard

Our high-performance 4’7” x 20.5” wide x 55-litre Skywave wingfoil board is suited to entry-level to intermediate riders from 25kg up to 55kg or an advanced rider up to 70kg looking to make radical moves on a semi-sinker board. Designed and engineered to provide optimal stability and performance, smooth take-offs, and controlled landings, the Skywave wingfoiling board offers the wingfoil rider the potential for nailing freestyle moves, big aerials, wave riding, and freeriding fun.

The volume distribution and surface area have been carefully optimised to enhance stability during the transitory phase between stationary and lift-off while providing controlled landings.

A dished standing area and hard rear rails prioritise stability, allowing for clean take-offs and landings without rail tripping, even for riders still honing their skills.

The minimal rocker ensures easy take-off, and its fast-release, low-drag hull design maximises speed and efficiency on the water. Boxy rails further enhance directional control and floatation in the right areas, giving riders the confidence to manoeuvre with precision and ease.

The carbon epoxy bamboo sandwich construction results in a lightweight, super-strong board. The forces at the foil connection point are extremely high, as are the pressure areas from the feet on landings. Adding 1 mm of PVC reinforces the standing area and the dual 11” US box system.

Multiple footstrap plugs cater to individual rider styles and conditions, and the footstraps offer comfort and adjustability for barefoot or boot riding. The diamond grove patterned non-slip decking ensures maximum traction and comfort underfoot, and a sturdy step-back pad offers a level of sure-footedness and security for the rear foot placement.

A carry handle is postponed just forward of the US boxes for ease of lifting, launching and recovery, and a rear leash point connector is located in the tail. An air expansion valve is featured within the deck to release expanded air from the inner foam core due to heat build-up to prevent deformation. Footstraps are supplied with all deck mounting hardware.
